International Programme for the Rehabilitation and Reintegration of Child Survivors (PIRES)

Protection and reintegration of children

Project positioning

PIRES provides an integrated response to the long-term consequences of conflicts, disasters, violence, forced displacement and other crises on children. It combines protection, health, education, rehabilitation and social reintegration in order to ensure that the care provided for children forms part of a process of sustainable reconstruction rather than merely an emergency response.
